About YasKeeper
Why this exists, and what it does with your information.
YasKeeper was built by a neighbour, not a company — someone on Yas Island who wanted a simple way to keep track of AC servicing, pest control, and the rest of a villa's maintenance, and to stop losing good vendor recommendations in a WhatsApp group nobody can search. It grew from one villa's spreadsheet into something the wider community could use, and it is still run in that spirit: a resident tool, for residents.
What stays private to your villa
Your maintenance records, reminders, calendar, and vendor usage notes belong to your own development and villa number. No other resident — and no administrator — can open them. There is no admin "view all households" screen; the isolation is enforced the same way for everyone, including the person who built the app.
What is shared, and why
Only the vendor directory is shared — vendor names, categories, and contact details — because comparing notes on a reliable AC company or handyman is the whole point of a shared directory. Even there, nobody sees which vendor a specific villa used or what they paid; the directory only shows how many households have used a vendor, not who.
Who can see what
An administrator approves new sign-ups (to keep the directory limited to actual residents) and reviews vendor listings that get flagged as wrong or out of date. That is the extent of admin access — approving people and moderating the shared directory, not reading anyone's private records.
